Operational Visibility

Timothy Roberts

Founder & CEO of Platformz

Timothy Roberts is the Founder & CEO of Platformz and a commerce architect with more than twenty years of experience designing and operating enterprise commerce systems. His work spans ERP integration, product information management, order orchestration, multi-3PL fulfillment, marketplace operations, dealer and B2B commerce, and the executive reporting layers that sit on top of them.

Roberts developed the Distribution Infrastructure as a Service (DIaaS) methodology at Platformz: an operating model that treats catalogs, orders, inventory, fulfillment, freight, and returns as one governed distribution infrastructure rather than a collection of disconnected tools. Much of the analysis published on Operational Visibility draws on that methodology and on production systems he has designed or operated.

Focus areas

  • Distribution infrastructure and enterprise integration architecture
  • Omnichannel and B2B commerce operations, including dealer portals
  • ERP, PIM, OMS, and WMS system boundaries and data governance
  • Marketplace integrations and multi-channel catalog syndication
  • Operational observability, executive dashboards, and AI-assisted operations
